Kuwait City – Four people had a narrow escape after a fire broke out on the yacht they were sailing near the island of Al-Maradam, within Kuwait's territorial waters.
The Civil Defence said it rushed a patrol boat to the location and rescued the people on board.
Reports say there were no casualties, Akbhar 24 reported.
Following the incident, Kuwait's General Directorate has urged seafarers to be cautious and call the emergency hotline 112 or 1880888 in case of distress.
