In line with directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to develop urgent solutions to ease traffic flow across the kingdom, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Ahmad Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, has announced that the ministry, in partnership with the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Traffic, today started the implementation of Phase One of development works to improve traffic signals on Shaikh Jabir Al Ahmad Al Sabah Highway.
Al Khayyat said that developing the optical signal system on the highway is part of the second package of urgent improvement projects intended to reduce traffic congestion in vital areas .
