Cairo – Egypt’s top religious authority, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, responded to a Kuwaiti cleric who claimed that Liverpool player Mohammed Salah was wounded in the final of the Champions League versus Real Madrid as a divine punishment because he did not fast on that day.
Shaikh Mubarak Al-Badhali posted his comment on his Twitter account, prompting Cairo-based Al-Azhar to react, describing Salah’s injury rather as a “test and a sign of divine love”.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif International Fatwa Centre that said that “The unseen belongs entirely to Allah the Almighty”, adding that “A human being should have good faith in others, mind his own business and stop preoccupying himself with people’s affairs and hidden conscience”.
