Riyadh: A Saudi divorced man was ordered to pay SR12,000 after committing 20 traffic violations registered with his ex-wife’s car.
The woman discovered the pending penalties when she wanted to buy a new car in the governorate of Buraida, said Al-Watan newspaper.
The execution court ruled in her favour, ordering the ex-husband to pay the fines immediately, threatening to freeze his account and ban him from travelling.
The Directorate of traffic confirmed that the ex-husband was driving his wife Ford car before their divorce when he committed the violations.
