ALI AL Sherif continued his impressive streak in Bahrain winning the boys under-14 singles title in the 23rd BBK Juniors Open Tennis Championship at Bahrain Tennis Club in Juffair.
A ninth grade student, Ali was again in fine form as he battled from a set down to beat a spirited Abdulla Nass 3-6 6-2 10-6 in the final.
In the other finals, Hashim Al Tobli edged out Hussain Jalil for the under-8 unisex title while Zayn Siddiqui proved too good for Vyom Gupta 6-0 in the under-10 unisex clash.
The closing ceremony on Wednesday night was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Tennis Federation, Reyadh Sater, BBK Chief Executive, Dr Ali Fakhro, honourary president of BTC, Khalid Al Haj, General Organisation for Youth and Sports’ Acting Clubs Affairs director and Khamis Al Muqla, president of BTC.
