MANAMA and Malkiya start their AFC Cup campaigns tonight when they face Al Jaish of Syria and Al Suwaiq of Oman respectively in Bahrain.
Manama will host Al Jaish of Syria tonight at 6.30pm in their first round match of Group ‘B’ of the AFC Cup at Bahrain National Stadium in Isa Town. Al Zawra of Iraq and Al Ahad of Lebanon are the other two teams.
Malkiya, on the other hand, host Al Suwaiq of Oman tonight at 6.15pm at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town in Group ‘A’, which also includes Air Force of Iraq and Al Jazira of Jordan.
Manama concluded their preparations with a training session last night at National Stadium under national coach Mohammed Al Shamlan while Al Jaish of Syria arrived on Friday and had their training sessions at Manama and Riffa Clubs.
Meanwhile, Malkiya concluded their training session last night at Khalifa Sports City Stadium under the supervision of national coach Ahmed Saleh Al Dakheel.
Their opponents Al Suwaiq of Oman arrived on Saturday and had their last training session at the match venue last night.
