Dubai: A Woman in UAE ended her 10-year long marriage after husband chose social media app over her. The woman asked her husband to delete WhatsApp or she would file for divorce, but the husband chose the social media app. According to a report in 7days, the Emirati couple both in their 30s filed for divorce at the Dubai Courts’ Family Guidance Department, two days after the scuffle.
According to family consultant Abdullah Al Mutawa, “The wife had agreed with her husband that he would not upload WhatsApp – and he had kept his promise for several years, but recently changed his mind.”
“The husband tried to understand why she could not accept that he had WhatsApp, despite everyone including her, having it”
“But she told him ‘it is me or WhatsApp’.”
“He got tired of convincing her, so he decided to go ahead with the divorce,” the report concluded.
