The oldest Saudi national died aged 147 in the province of Asir after suffering an acute stroke, Al Watan newspaper reported.
Ali bin Mohammed bin Marai Al Aklami passed away in the village of Al Souda, to the north of the city of Al Souda.
He was 38 years old when the province of Asir became part of Saudi Arabia which was founded by King Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The deceased, who never went to a hospital, ate barley bread, honey, locally-produced ghee, fresh meat and other products he harvested from his land.
