Moroccan national Sherine won the coveted 'Miss Arab World 2017' title at a glittering pageant held at a luxurious hotel the city of Giza, Egypt.
Algerian Rania bin Ashoush and Bahraini Fawzya Abdul Ridha have been named first and second runners-up respectively. Emirati Fateem Al-Shamsi and Sudanese Ghofrane Ismael were declared third and fourth runners-up.
Miss Iraq Farah Haddad was crowned as Miss Middle East and Levant (Historical Syria).
Miss Saudi Malak Youssef posted a video recording on social media website announcing her withdrawal from Miss Arab World 2018, after facing a wave of criticism.
The jury featured Egyptian artist Mohammed Nour, Kuwaiti TV presenter Halimeh Boland, Festival Honorary Chairperson Jordanian Al-Sharifa Boudoor bin Abdulilah Al-Rubaian and the pageant organizer Hanan Nasr.
