Bahrain will take part in the Gulf Cup of Nations (Khaleeji 23), which will be held in Kuwait, instead of Qatar.
Bahrain Football Association (BFA) confirmed its participation in a statement issued tonight.
It received an official invitation from Kuwait Football Association to participate in Khaleeji 23, which will open on December 22 and run until January 5.
The championship was first scheduled to be held in Qatar before it was announced today that it has been relocated to Kuwait.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain earlier announced their withdrawal from Khaleeji 23 in Qatar.
The BFA statement congratulated Kuwait on lifting the FIFA ban, hailed the role of the Amir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in this regard.
