Kuwait City: An Egyptian expatriate was arrested for using a drone to smuggle drugs, mobile phones and other prohibited products into the central prison.
Al-Farwaniya police officers spotted the suspect as he was using the drone near the jail and arrested him under order from Kuwait Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major-General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, reported Al Qabas.
The 37-year old man who works as a driver was referred to the Public Prosecution to face charges. The police seized the drone, drugs, mobile phones, chargers and other wireless devices.
