The United Arab Emirates is a federal absolute monarchy in Western Asia at the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula.
1) The UAE is a federation made up of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.
2) It is bordered by Oman to the northeast and east and Saudi Arabia to the south and west. It also has a coastline along the Arabian Gulf to the north and the Gulf of Oman to the east.
