Kuwait has been ranked as the 2nd most meat consuming country in the world.
According to updated facts released UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), each Kuwaiti citizen consumes on average 119.2 kilogrammes of meat per year.
The United States of America tops the FAO list with a per capita meat consumption average of 120. 2 kilogrammes of meat.
The top ten most meat consuming countries in the world include Australia which ranks third, followed by The Bahamas, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Austria, French Polynesia, Bermuda and Argentina.
The most meat consuming countries in the world are also ranked as the most obese nations. Kuwait ranks first in Arab region and 2nd worldwide on the index of excessive obesity.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh ranked as the least meat consuming country in the world with a per capita average of 4 kilogrammes only. It is followed by India, Burundi, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Eritrea, Mozambique, Gambia and Malawi.
