The report of an inquiry into the tragic death of a Kazakh student at school will be announced soon, the educational authorities in the Medina said.
According to akhbaar24.com, Ahmed Noor, a primary student at Mohammed Al Qushairi Quranic School, sustained fatal head injuries after falling into the stairwell.
A video recording showed him jumping the metallic stair ramp as a teacher was busy talking to his classmates.
The recording, which was posted online, sparked outrage among users who said that the ramp was not high enough to ensure students’ safety.
Responding to criticism, the General Directorate of Education in Medina, said that the same type of building is officially approved across Saudi Arabia.
The directorate announced that results of the official probe into the tragic incident would be released soon.
