US pop star Janet Jackson has split up with husband Wissam Al-Mana, barely three months after giving birth to her first child Eissa at the age of 50.
A close friend of Ms Jackson confirmed the divorces saying, "Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways."
The Qatari millionaire married Jackson in 2012, becoming her third husband after musician James DeBarge (1984-85) and Mexican dancer Rene Elizondo Jr. (1991-2000).
The couple reportedly agreed on an “amicable split” while the baby boy will "stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London", the friend said.
The pair’s divorce may become a messy affair as Al Mana, 42, is estimated to have a fortune of around £800million – at least four times Ms. Jackson’s net worth.
