Kuwaiti authorities have temporarily banned imports of all types of live birds, hatching eggs and chicks from Greece.
The General Authorities for Agricultural Affairs and Marine Resources announced the ban due to the outbreak of the H5N8 bird flu virus.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health said that no H5N8 case of infection had been detected among humans.
Assistant Undersecretary Dr. Majeda Al-Qattan said that the highly contagious virus was spreading among poultry, dismissing the likelihood of human infections as limited.
