Saar Club registered a 5-1 victory over Al Malkiya Club in Group ‘B’ on the opening day of the National Day Beach Soccer Tournament, organised by the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) at the beach soccer ground behind its headquarters in Riffa.
The event is being held under the patronage of the son of Crown Prince, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa. BFA president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was present on the opening day.
In other Group ‘B’ matches, Buri Club thrashed BBK 6-1 while Karzakan Youth Centre edged out Zallaq Youth Centre 4-3 and Budaiya Club registering an 6-5 win over Hesab Al Hakam.
Action continues today with matches in Group ‘A’. BBK face Saar Club at 1pm, before Malkiya Club come up against Buri an hour later.

Matches in Group ‘B’ kicks off at 3pm when Hesab Al Hakam face Kazakan Youth Centre while Zallaq Youth Center clash with Budiaya Club at 4pm.
The top two teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals which takes place on Thursday while the final is set for Saturday.
