Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Dubai ruler tweeted about his appearance at the race, by posting a photo of himself accompanied by officials, standing proudly as the UAE’s national anthem played before the start of the race.
He captioned it, "I attended the Etihad Airways Grand Prix, the 2016 season finale. Today we crowned a new Champion in our city of champions, Abu Dhabi."
Located at the Yas Marina Circuit, the final race of the 2016 season saw Nico Rosberg take home the title of World Championship.
