Doha: A woman has filed a lawsuit with the criminal court claiming QR5 million in compensation for the injuries she had sustained due to a reckless driver who rammed into her car, reported Al Sharq.
The plaintiff who was badly injured suffered a broken knee and underwent several surgeries on her leg and thigh.
The court of first instance had convicted the driver and fined him QR3,000, in addition to QR80,000 in compensation to the woman who filed an appeal.
The court of Appeal increased the compensation to QR200,000, but the verdict did not please the woman who brought the case to the court of cassation, claiming QR5 million.
