A photographer in Australia managed to capture the moment when a black snake was eating a brown snake of the same size.

Pictures: Photographer captures a snake eating another snake
The photographer, Steve Young, was at home when he saw the red-bellied snake with half the brown snake hanging out of his mouth.
According to a report on the Bega District News, Young said, "I was standing very close to the scene and taking photographs and my wife told me that I was crazy”.
"But I said 'it won't bite me because it's got its mouth full!'"
This is the first time the photographer has witnessed a scene of this kind.
"Black snakes never bothered me before, they're fairly timid and quick to run away," he said.
"I don't really mind the blacks eating the browns,” he added.
Black snakes are known to eat their own species.
