Seven people were killed when a car lost control during a racing competition in Sri Lanka and ploughed into a crowd of 45,000 spectators and race officials.
Among the victims were four race officials.
Twenty injured people were taken to hospital; three of them are in a critical condition.

The competition took place at the Sri Lankan military academy in Diyatalawa.
Nihal Thalduwa, a police spokesman, said that “one of the cars veered off the track and crashed into spectators and officials of the event”.
However, it wasn’t immediately clear what caused the disaster.
The race was suspended after the accident, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
