Bahrain has signed two agreements with Hong Kong to promote investment and prevent double taxation and fiscal evasion.
They were concluded at a meeting between Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Algernon Yau, Minister of Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong, and his accompanying delegation.
The Finance and National Economy Minister affirmed the importance of the two agreements in enhancing bilateral economic, commercial and investment relations and boosting co-operation.
Separately, Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro met Mr Yau and his accompanying delegation.
Mr Fakhro praised the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Hong Kong, affirming the importance of further strengthening co-operation and enhancing economic relations and trade exchange between the two countries.
The minister highlighted the investment opportunities and potential in Bahrain available to investors from around the world, that are reinforced by streamlined procedures and significant advantages provided for both industrial and commercial investment projects.
