BAHRAIN will play their first Group F game of the Fiba 2025 Asia Cup Qualifiers against the UAE tonight at the Khalifa Sports City Arena.
Twenty-four teams, placed in six groups, are competing in the Qualifiers which will be staged across the continent in three windows: February 2024, November 2024 and February 2025.
Syria and Lebanon are the other two teams in Group F.
Following the UAE encounter tonight, Bahrain, ranked 11th in Asia and 69th in the Fiba world rankings, will travel to Lebanon – ranked third in Asia and 28th in the world – where they will play the hosts on February 26 at the Nouhad Nawful Sports Complex in the Lebanese city of Zouk Mikael.
In the next window, Bahrain will face Syria – Asia rank: 12th; world rank: 71st – on November 22 before squaring off against the UAE in the return fixture three days later.
And, in the last window early next year, Bahrain will take on Lebanon in the reverse encounter on February 21 before playing Syria on February 24.
The Asia Cup will be hosted by Saudi Arabia in the city of Jeddah in August 2025.
