Muscat - The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has drafted a comprehensive action plan and deployed teams to deal with market conditions during the current weather spell.
The teams take turns to monitor business needs in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. They operate in two shifts (morning and evening) to receive calls, follow up consumer reports and communicate with commercial establishments to ensure the availability of goods and the stability of the market.
The CPA alerted commodity providers not to take advantage of the current circumstances. It urged suppliers and merchants to adhere to the Consumer Protection Law to avoid legal action. In particular, it cautioned commodity providers against raising prices or disrupting the flow of goods.
