Autocross – THE second round of the Bahrain Autocross Championship, held at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), the home of motorsport in the Middle East, last Friday saw a wide participation of racers from Bahrain and the GCC.
Abdullah Al Dosari took first place in the SA category with a time of 47.017 seconds, followed by Hamad Al Balushi (47.285s) and Wael Karmostoji (49.142s), in second and third places, respectively.
The SB category was won by Fouad Rafiq (49.531s) with Abdullah Iyad (51.419s) and Ahmed Al Jamal (51.662s) finishing second and third.
Ali Al Mansouri won the MA category with a time of 44.001s, with Khalid Al Mutairi (44.460s) taking second place, and Abdullah Al Saba (45.366s) coming third.
The MB category was claimed by Issa Abdullah (44.461s), followed by Faris Al Mutairi (46.261s) and Rashid Al Asmari (46.473s), in second and third places, respectively.
Tariq Mahmoud (51.889s)won the SU category, while in the UL category, Abdulaziz Al Rameh (42.987s) took first place with Salman Abdullah (44.167s) and Hassan Al Abbasi (48.218s) taking second and third places, respectively.
The winners were presented trophies in the presence of the chairman and members of the autocross and drift committee.
The third of five rounds will be held on Friday, the fourth round on March 15, and the fifth and final round on March 29.
