Defender Abo Baker Adam scored twice as Bahrain defeated Philippines 3-1 in an international friendly match held in Manila yesterday.
The match was held as part of Bahrain team’s preparations ahead of the qualifiers for Asian Cup 2019 to be held in the UAE.
Bahrain scored an early goal in the fourth minute, through Adam. Minutes later, Adam added the second goal for Bahrain to lead 2-0 at the end of the first half.
Philippines reduced the margin in the second half through Mike Ott in the 49th minute.
However, Bahrain ensured victory with a third goal in the last minute of the game by striker Mohammed Al Romaihi.
The Bahrain national team will head to Muscat to play against Oman in another friendly, scheduled for Tuesday.
