MANAMA: Eleven companies have applied to the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry for prequalification of Bahrain Metro Phase One, through which the ministry intends to prequalify suitably experienced and qualified companies with relevant expertise to design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer the project.
The Bahrain Metro will be developed in four phases with the initial one comprising two lines with a total length of 29 km and 20 stations .
